Coronavirus Statement Updated – 02/11/2020
As per the Government announcement made on Saturday 31st October 2020, it is with great sadness that we announce that Matlock Farm Park will temporarily close its doors once more at the end of the day on Wednesday 4th November 2020.
Our number one priority has always been the safety of our staff, animals and customers. When our attraction re-opened to the public following the first lockdown on Sunday 5th July, this was after our team worked hard to implement guidance and procedures to manage the risk of COVID-19 and maximise safety for all. In doing this, we achieved the "Good to Go" safety mark. We would like to thank visitors for adhering to the precautions we have had in place.
In closing for a second temporary lockdown, we would like all of our visitors to be assured that our animals will continue to be safe and cared for as always. We have already started moving the vulnerable ones into our Ark building for winter and we are stocked with feed, hay and bedding for them. As before, we are sure that they will miss the public interaction and wonder where everyone has gone, but we will keep our followers up to date daily with posts and photos on our social media.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your amazing level of support since we re-opened in the Summer. Even though we have had to limit the park's facilities and activities, your visits have saved us and put us back on our feet. We can now enter this second lock down with the confidence that we can come out of the other side to a great following of loyal visitors.
Thank you again for your support. Keep yourself and your families safe!
