Visitors with a range of additional needs often greatly benefit from time in the fresh air of a countryside setting and particularly having contact with animals.

We aim to be as inclusive as possible and hope to be flexible to the requirements of all visitors. SEN school groups

For groups of 20 children or more, we offer our general schools’ package which can be amended in content, as well as in style and pace of delivery depending on the needs of your students.

We have accessible classroom areas for you have a time to enjoy packed lunches and all of our paths around the park are smoothly tarmacked. We are proud to have a super Changing Places facility on site too.

People with additional needs

Smaller SEN groups, residential homes and care based organisations

We recognize that many organization groups for people with additional needs have less than 20 guests to take on a trip and often groups prefer a less structured visit.

If this is the case, we recommend visiting during term time and taking advantage of our special entry rate, with one carer per paying guest admitted free of charge*. Your visit includes a lovely private animal petting session, plus a reserved indoor or covered outdoor area where your group can enjoy lunch together. You can then explore the farm park at your own pace, dipping in and out of our public guided activities whenever you wish.
 All visits must be pre-booked in advance via email: learn@matlockfarmpark.co.uk
*Carers must have valid organization ID or PIP/DLA documents to present on arrival at the farm park.

Picnics are welcome for visitors to consume at outdoor picnic tables around the park.

Please note, food obtained from outside the farm park cannot be consumed inside our Cafe or Rainforest Coffee shop, except in the case of baby food for little ones in high chairs.
