Fang-tastic Halloween Festival!

10.00 - 5.00

Our Best Halloween Celebrations Ever…

This half term will see an abundance of totally NEW FANG-TASTIC FUN in the glorious outdoors of Matlock Farm Park! Every day (weather permitting), there will be a SPOOKY TRAIL for you to follow in our ENCHANTED FOREST, where you will come across some spookily fun character sets – hmmmn, who will you find?

This year we will have a PUMPKIN PATCH, where you and your little one can select your own pumpkin and take it to our carving station (additional small charge for pumpkins). Children will also be able to make their own fabulous potions and spells with WITCH WENDOLYN in her magic garden.

Also new for October half term is our GREAT MUMMY WRAP SHUFFLE, a fun game for families to do with their little ones and sure to provide laughs.

Will the legendary HEADLESS HORSEMAN also make an appearance ….?

Short Children’s PONY RIDES will be on each day over half term for your little ones to have a special experience (£2.50 per go, from 2 and a half years) – check daily times.

Every day over half term, there will be bungee trampolines, a Gruffolo Giant Slide (weather permitting) and other entertainments, provided by an independent company – small charges apply.

On Halloween Weekend itself, we will also be joined by the popular There & Back Light Railway, providing lovely little steam train rides for a small charge.

Not forgetting of course, interactive fun with our wonderful animals, petting a wide range of furry friends – anyone for a wallaby encounter….

All aboard!

Come and enjoy a ride on this lovely little steam train over these weekends at the farm park. Fun for all the family and a train enthusiast’s delight!

Park entry fees apply and there is a small charge for the train (£2 per person for over 2s), payable to the train operator. For everyone’s safety, please read the following guidelines carefully:

We look forward to seeing all our happy passengers again, but please do not come to see us if you are feeling unwell
Please have the correct change (£2 per person) if at all possible. We have PayPal contactless, but this is dependent on mobile signal.
Please adhere to social distancing whilst queuing for a train ride. There will be separate entrance and exit route for the train. These will be signposted.
We can only take one family group per ride. This will mean it may take a little longer for your turn if we are busy. Please be patient and courteous.
We will have a supply of hand sanitizer to use before you go on the train.
I know kids love to race the train but please discourage this. We do not want any trips or falls and unnecessary injuries. It also ensures the safety of our passengers.
We are really looking forward to bringing the railway back to the farm park We will do all we can to ensure everyone stays safe but we need your cooperation to make this a success.
