Standard farm park package Guided Tour

A fun and informative tour of the farm park and our animals. A bag of animal feed is included so children can experience hand feeding and stroking of the animals. Topics such as animal classification and physical features, growth and babies, animal senses, habitats and predator vs prey, can be covered and targeted to the age of the group. More in depth focus can be given to one of these areas or we can link with other relevant topic work.

Small Animal Handling Small animal handling

Come and cuddle a bunny rabbit, stroke a guinea pig, handle a tortoise and in Spring and early Summer, cradle a fluffy chick. Being so close with gentle, friendly animals is a delight for our young visitors and creates special memories.

Sensory experience tour Sensory experience tour

Free for nurseries and SEN groups. Using our different senses, enjoy an introduction to some of the items found around the farm, such as an antler, a range of feathers, sheep wool and more. Feel the pony’s breath and mane, hear the cockerel crow, smell the fresh hay and see the peacock's glorious colours.

Woodland adventure Woodland adventure

Time to wander into our neighbouring woodland for a fun and interactive adventure. Thinking about the homes and habitats of different creatures as we go, we will bring to life ideas regarding food chains, animal senses and adaptations. Ideal for 3-7 years.

Mini-beast mayhem Mini-beast mayhem

In our Wildlife Garden, children will look at the features of and identify mini-beasts found, learn what role they play and think about the micro-habitats they live in. With our guide they will then assist in the making a layer of a 'Bug Hotel', to attract new mini-beasts to 'check in' at their ideal habitat.

Lifecycle of a chicken Lifecycle of a chicken

Meet our chickens and find out about their needs and behaviour; learn more about the egg laying process, incubation and meet our chicks. Get up close to a mother hen and chick, see, feel and hear their differences.

Pony rides (5-10 mins) Pony rides (5-10 mins)

See how our ponies are tacked up and hear about their needs. Have a rewarding experience with a gentle ride on the ponies, accompanied by our trained instructors. £2.50 extra per child, subject to availability.
